THE ESTATE

Old vines, fresh eyes.

Isabelle and Matthieu Champart founded the estate in 1976, six years before the appellation itself was born, with Mas Champart among its pioneers. Since 2023, Noémie and Angélique have been caring for the vineyard with patience and determination, guided by the recommendations their predecessors left them.

Sixteen hectares (40 acres) of old vines at 300 metres above sea level, on a limestone terroir of dolomite. A terret bourret planted in 1904, carignans from the 1950s. The plots are edged by the garrigue, the wild scrubland of the Languedoc, and by capitelles, the little dry-stone huts where the estate's ewes come to find shade.

THE TERROIR

Limestone, garrigue and old vines.

Our sixteen hectares rise in terraces between 210 and 300 metres, on the hillsides of Saint-Chinian, a short walk from the village towards Villespassans. A mosaic of soils, limestone, clay-limestone, marl and sandstone, gives each plot its character and the wines their freshness.

Around the vines, garrigue, pines and olive trees form a true haven of biodiversity. Here we tend, by hand and fully organically, old vines that reach a hundred and ten years of age and draw a rare concentration from the stone.

THE CRAFT

Picked by hand,
aged without haste.

Four gestures, repeated year after year, with patience as the only cellar master.

01
Harvest in small tubs
Everything by hand, in small tubs, with plot-by-plot sorting that stretches over nearly a month.
02
Native yeasts
The reds ferment on their own yeasts, in concrete and stainless steel vats, with gentle extraction and nothing forced.
03
Unhurried ageing
The top cuvées take their time in barrel, the others in vat, always with a light hand on wood and sulphur.
04
Time does the rest
Nothing is rushed. We let the cellar and the seasons finish what the hand began.
THE WINES

Our Saint-Chinian cuvées.

Generous whites, patient reds, a gastronomic rosé, bubbles and an orange wine. Hand-picked and organic. Each cuvée tells the story of a plot.

And one more thing: the estate's olive oil, first pressing from the olive trees of the garrigue.
